A Shin Guard Born from a Father’s Love and Expert Design.
As a product designer, AJ has always been passionate about developing sports protective gear. With experience designing equipment for baseball, snow sports, cycling, and skateboarding, he thought he had seen it all. But one conversation with a dedicated father changed everything and inspired him to create a completely new kind of shin guard.
That father was Jeffery, a devoted soccer dad with two 9-year-old sons. He spent three to four days a week training with them and their team, and every weekend, they competed in the AYSO UNITED league.
Over the past year, Jeffery had been on a relentless quest to find the perfect shin guards for his kids, only to be met with disappointment every time.
His children and their teammates constantly complained about traditional shin guards being too sweaty, poorly ventilated, and
bulky—some even caused skin irritation. Meanwhile, parents had their own frustrations: shin guards were constantly getting lost.
When Jeffery met AJ, he brought an entire bag of shin guards he
had purchased over the years. One by one, he explained the
strengths and weaknesses of each design. AJ could feel the passion
behind Jeffery’s words—this was more than just a search for a better
product; it was about ensuring his children had the best experience
on the field.
“If no shin guards on the market can meet these needs,
then I’ll design one that does!” With years of expertise in protective
gear design, AJ set out on a mission to develop a shin guard tailored
